Central to our Mission is our commitment to help see that wild  equines are able to remain in the wild. WFLF’s BACK TO THE WILD program works to preserve and protect the lives of wild equines as part of the natural ecosystem and educate people about the need for the preservation of these threatened equine species. WFLF accomplishes these objectives through 1) rescue, protection and preservation services for at-risk wild equines who have lost their freedom, their families and their open range-land homes in the wild, and or that have become at risk of slaughter, and 2) advocacy and education.
The Wild for Life Foundation’s diverse educational and wellness activities are inherent in building compassion and positive life skills which foster symbiotic environmental stewardship through a healing partnership with animals. WFLF’s Back To The Wild program serves as an important platform for the preservation and protection of wildlife through the provision of safe harbor for wild horses and burros who have been exploited and mistreated.
 The Wild For Life Foundation promotes positive alternatives which protect and preserve America’s Wild Horses and Burros. Having developed innovative methods for sanctuary management that include community enrichment and sustainable ecological approaches, Wild For Life Foundation is dedicated to ensuring a safe and peaceful habitat for wild horses, held in perpetuity for the benefit of the horses and burros.
Support for Wild For Life Foundation's Wild Mustang and Burro Program & Indigenous Heritage Project can be made in a variety of ways.
