Wild for Life Foundation serves an average of 100- 125 animals throughout the year. We primarily care for rare and wild Mustangs, domestic horses and wild burros. We also provide protection and care for a small number of farm animals and wild birds.

Oftentimes animals under WFLF's sanctuary program are found to ber unreleasable due to physical disabilities or would have little chance of survival if they could be released. Animals under WFLF's rescue and rehabilitation program primarily include those who have become candidates for adoption, foster or equine assisted learning and wellness activities. Sadly, prior to finding safe harbor at WFLF, many of these animals had been subjected to a variety of abusive, neglectful or life threatening situations.

Incoming equine refugees include wild horses and burros who’ve been victimized by government sanctioned roundups, stockpiled in holding or slated for barbaric slaughter. We care for every breed of victimized domestic horses that have been starved, mistreated, exploited or discarded from the equine community including former family pet ponies, former summer-camp horses, show horses, race horses, work horses and senior horses who for some reason or another did not live up to the needs or wants of their previous owners. We additionally care for a limited number of injured and abused farm animals that have been saved from life threatening situations.

There is no minimum amount for contributions made directly to the Wild for Life Foundation to help support our lifesaving mission.
